Best Buy had better prices pretty consistently for some time but now it seems to have reversed. At least half of my purchases at Best Buy are price matches to other retailers these days.

Was over there an hour ago. Was finally able to pick up "The Wizard Of Oz" 75th DVD set (which is ten bucks). Looking about the $4.99 bin I saw the two disc special edition of "The Fly", 1986 remake (with slipcover). I already own it, bought on release day.

Looking in the horror section (which is a shadow of that it used to be), I saw "The Fly" the original 1958 film (DVD); great new cover by the way. It read $12.99. I got curious and looked up the price at the kiosk nearby. Nope - $4.99. Picked that up too, my store only had one copy.

I already own the box set with the three "Fly" movies, a speical edition. Those who own it, know the slipcase is thin card stock. You have to be careful or you'll damage it. So I opted to rebuy the movie for easy viewing. *nods*

I had a good haul today. Plus in the mail from Amazon I received "The Man Who Could Cheat Death" (1959), blind buy. I'll watch that later this week or so.

Also saw seasons of 'Tales From the Crypt' for $8.99 each.
