Ray Donovan -- Season Finale -- "Same Exactly" -- 9/22/13
Synopsis:
Ray and Avi find Eddie on the run with Sully's money; Mickey gets kicked out of Bunchy's apartment. Later, Ray puts the word out that a crew for "America's Most Wanted" is in Santa Monica; Abby and the kids hide out at a Malibu resort; and Ezra proposes to Deb.
Episode 12/12
Shame on those of you who didn't give this a chance. It was a great 1st season.
I'm predicting that Jon Voight will get an Emmy nomination for best supporting actor next year.

I'm still in the camp that hasn't been terribly impressed with this show. I do hope the finale ends the season on a high note.

If you have DTV, check your DVR. Mine isn't picking it up as a new episode since it says it originally aired on 9/1.

Im so glad I stuck with this. I almost gave up after the first two episodes, besides Breaking Bad this is my favorite show right now.

2.1m viewers, up from 1.35m the week before. Guess a lot of people needed to wash the taste of that Series Finale.

Really enjoyed the season, although I'm still not sure what Mickey's motivation is. Does he want revenge for 20 years in prison, or is he genuinely trying to get into his sons' lives?

Good finale, great season. I think this and Orphan Black were my two favorite new shows of the past season.

Great season finale.They wrapped up season 1 really well and left lots of potential for a 2nd season.
The shootout at the dock was pretty crazy. Too bad Sully took one in the head. It would have been cool if Woods was back another season.
I'm glad we got some clarification on why Ray hates Mickey so much.

Odd ending. If I saw my dad covered in blood, I'd like to think I wouldn't act so non-chalantly. 
Anyhow, it really grew on me from a slow start. I really don't care much for the main character but I enjoyed the show and look forward to another season.

I think the point of the scene was the family was finally accepting that Ray does some bad things, but its always to protect them.

I went to watch this last night and it was not on the dvr. I was able to find it on demand but it is good to know why it did not record. The episode was OK. Not sure where season 2 is going to go from here.

Finished watching the season and I gotta say:
-- disaffected, abused irish catholics relocated to la-la land with guns, lots of Jamesons, anger issues, money, a "staff" and long term bad blood. Replace Irish with Mexican and BAM....what's there not to like.
-- I need an employee like AVI.
-- I also I wonder if we are going to get more info on Avi's MOM next season. Hopefully will be as tough as Sully's Mom.
-- can't believe dat guy (Stephen Bauer) was one of the young hotshot cops in "Running Scared" (1986)
-- I agree its a shame about Woods. I liked his menace.
Going to go git some Jamesons now.
