"XXL Mini-Mag - Volume II" exclusive store release (?) $5.99
Information from Bainbridge's_Stache from Forum Blu-Ray dot com. He posted images from next week's ad. I think I'll pass, doing that here, considering all the woes that Speedy endured. Text only.
You got to be frackin' me... (Community's) fourth season was a reduced one, thirteen episodes. S4 should not cost more than twenty-two (or less) on release week. I'm not paying that. I'll see what Wal-Mart will do for it on Tuesday.
On better news, granted old; the soundtrack for "Not Another Teen Movie" is very good. Good movie too.

Community has been on sale the past two Black Fridays for around $10, so I recommend waiting.

I would have very much liked to see Community for less, but I'm fine with waiting. I'm interested in Borgias and Place Beyond the Pines.

I looked at Wal-Mart's website, they're saying S4 will be for $18.96.
I'm wondering if they'll have the price in store. I would pick it up for that.

Amazon and Deep Discount have it for $18.96 too. I may still wait, but that's a lot more respectable price to sell it at.

Target will price-match Walmart.com, though of course the Internet in general and this forum in particular are full of price-matching horror stories. I once got Walmart to price-match CircuitCity.com on the basis that at that point, Circuit City had adopted the policy that their stores would honor their web prices. It was, pardon the pun, circuitous logic but it worked.

Re: Best Buy DVD prices (August 4th - 10th, 2013)
I had a difficult time price matching the last season of "Weeds" at Target, Best Buy price as I recall. It happened, but I held up the line for far too long. There was only ONE register opened and it was the relocated Customer Service line; among the regular registers. I felt like an a$$.
So it really depends, if there's other registers open, sure. If not, I'll pass. I'm not in any hurry to have it.

I think we're to the point where I can wait til BF to buy the TV seasons I want. Foxconnect has been quite good for TV seasons, and usually Target or Amazon or BB cover almost everything I want between them. The prices above are OK, but I know almost all of them will be better this BF...

Re: Best Buy DVD prices (August 4th - 10th, 2013)
Home.
First off, Wal-Mart is selling S4 of "Community" for $19.96 (in store); picked up my copy. Oh yeah, it comes in a slipcase.
Second, I was naughty at Best Buy.
I walked in today and found the media area changed. Now I didn't check the CD isles - I forgot. The DVDs and such haven't been reduced, but the isles are relocated a bit more inside the store, not so much near the checkouts as they were. Plus they are no longer horizontal, the isles to registers.
I had to reoriented myself; where's the TV shows, horror, drama and the like.
Then I noticed it. They have a sale not listed in their weekly ad, "Evil Dead" DVD $4.99.
Here's the thing, the sign was so haphazardly placed on the spot.
They put it in between the 2013 remake and the Blu-Rays for the original film (and remake). I knew they were talking about the DVD edition of the classic; they only had two copies and both were vertical on the self - their spine showing. The rest were facing (covers) you. So a thought popped in my head. What if? I've been wanting this DVD for weeks and that's a good price point for me.
So I gave it a try, grabbed a 2013 copy and took it to the register.
It's twenty bucks.
I explained that the sale sign reads $4.99. A moment later someone came by to do a price override. Now I have it, a two disc set; I bought that store exclusive (Best Buy) for the movie which came with a bonus disc. "Evil Dead" 2013 is now in a two disc case for both DVDs. Very sway.
This may have worked since my store had relocated its isles, things are out of their normal place. But you might get lucky too.
