Didn't know anything about this one. Looks fun, with the exception of Julianne Moore hamming it up. The creatures and that 4-armed Hindi God look super cool. Also found out it was directed by Sergey Bodrov who directed Mongol a few years ago. Mongol was badass.

I enjoy the books that the film is from, can't wait to see it.

I've heard of the series and I've heard that it's a dark one, so I may give the first book a try.

First thing I thought of was the Orson Scott Card book Seventh Son, also a fantasy series.

I guess i'm the odd man out, when I saw this trailer before Pacific Rim I thought it looked laughably bad.

Yeah this looked really bad to me from the trailer before Pacific Rim, but who knows.

The creature design work looks awesome. Djimon Honsou as Radu looks legit as well as that tall ass bald dude who looks like a skeleton corpse. The 4 armed Hindi creature pretty much sealed the deal for me. And Jeff Bridges. Okay, so Julianne Moore being old and hot and reuniting with Jeff Bridges peaked my interest too. Bite me.

So did I. I forgot that it had been pushed back 'til next year.

I really like the books this is based on. It's a shame that it looks like they went in a completely different direction from the books. The apprentice in the book is only 12 and they cast Ben Barnes a 30 something in that role. If they had done this right, this could have been a harry potter like series if popular enough....

So this is finally going to open. Wonder which will bomb harder, this or Jupiter Ascending?
