Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters
I liked the first. Despite the casting changes, I'm down for the sequel:

I remember the first being a bit bland. Could be up for this if it gets good reviews but I just feel a big shoulder shrug coming on anytime Percy Jackson is mentioned.

Glad they made a sequel. The books only get better and the first movie was an okay effort. Hopefully this one does better too.

Good flick. Saw it this weekend. The stories are not as deep or complex as Harry Protter, but the movie was fun and my son liked it a lot. A worthy sequel.

I enjoyed it for what it is.
Projector wasn't working on the 2D, so they moved us to the 3D. Didn't like the 3D and would have rather watched it in 2D.

I saw this the other day and didn't enjoy it. I think it started on the wrong foot by trying to get the audience to empathize with Percy for not get enough credit for saving Olympus in the last move, and he keeps coming in second in all the camp sporting events! Percy is actually starting to doubt that he's the best demi-god on the planet. To make matters worse it turns out he has a deformed, mentally handicapped half-brother. Could things get any worse for poor Percy?!?
For a quest/roadtrip movie it seemed too short and there didn't seem to be much driving the story forward. Plus the most charismatic character of the original trio is completely missing for the entire second act of the movie.

I actually enjoyed this quite a bit. Yeah, the script had issues (why they keep feeling like ignoring so much of the books is bizarre) but it was fun. I loved Fillion's cameo and his nod to Firefly.

Yeah, we watched this the other day and I barely made it through it. It didn't seem to have the spark that the first one did and the story wasn't really that interesting. The best part was Fillion's cameo though, so yeah, at least there was that.
