As a director. His films were shitty but good style:
First Italian space movies in 60s
Vietnam movie and Raiders of the Lost Ark ripoffs in 80s [best shit]
I love this smiling motherfucker unlike that serious Sergio leone

I've seen a million films by his contemporaries, but very few by him, counting from the list on IMDB. I've only seen: WILD WILD PLANET, TAKE HARD RIDE and THE STRANGER AND THE GUNFIGHTER (aka BLOOD MONEY). The latter is the only one I saw in a theater. It's the one with Lee Van Cleef and kung fu star Lo Lieh. I need to see it again.

"MAR-GAR-ETT-I"

*Just checking out his filmography*
Wow. More gems in there than I thought.
The Long Hair of Death & The Virgin of Nuremberg are solid Euro-Horror flicks.
And God Said To Cain & Vengeance are popular spaghetti westerns (I like the latter more)
Didn't know he directed Death Rage. I've heard pretty good things about that one.
I thought he did that Aligator ripoff with Barbara Bach-EDIT: That was Sergio Martino.
I've had Hercules vs Karate in my Netflix-Que FOREVER. Looks like I'll finally get to it next month for the Drive-In Challenge (Didn't know he directed that either)
I thought Cannibal Apocalypse was a slight letdown upon my first viewing, but man, I sure as hell love it now.

I went in expecting another typical Italian cannibal movie but it played out more like an urban crime film with some Vietnam War exploitation thrown in. Plus Giovanni Lombardo Radice makes every movie better.

I was expecting more of an "Outbreak urban feast-fest apocalypse", but on my 2nd viewing, I was able to strongly connect with just the small group of characters and their storyline worked out just fine.
