Oldies.com Free Ship at $25 Through 2/18

I just did a small order. Usually the $75 free ship threshold (I think it's been raised to $100) is a deal killer for me.

A few highlights:
They still have the 2 Mackinac Golden Age Of Cartoons sets at $1.98

& several Roans

Has anyone ever had any luck with them. I think I have tried to order like 4 times and had 3 of the orders cancelled.

I've never had an order cancelled. Only issue I've ever had is delivery is a bit slow.

They are reliable. I would recommend them. Because of high postage I only order during their sales with free shipping. They did however jack up the price on a lot of stuff to compensate for the free shipping, but that's not unusual with a lot of retailers during their "sales". I don't think I can get $25 worth. Nothing really stands out. So I may pass.

Got a floater in the order. They're requiring me to pay return postage. Not worth it for a $2.00 cd.

^^ This happened to me once, and they credited my card for my shipping costs as part of the exchange process. Double-check with them, but I believe they'll take care of you.

Re: Oldies.com Free Ship at $25 Through 2/18

Just bought 8 DVD's. The combination of the $3.99 sale on Alpha titles and $2.98 shipping on purchases of >$25 was too good to pass. And for anyone who avoids DVD-R's and hasn't noticed, say whatever else you want about them, but Oldies/Alpha is now the king of honest salesmanship. With their own Alpha titles clearly now marked as DVD/DVD-R and everybody else's titles also marked, oldies.com is now a better reference than Amazon for this sort of thing.

Are all the Alpha's burned now?

Re: Oldies.com Free Ship at $25 Through 2/18

I expect that all new Alpha DVD's are burned, but 5 of my 8 titles are Alphas, and each is marked as being a real DVD. I'll find out in about a week how accurate their listings really are.
