I'm not sure what I was expecting from AVGN for a movie, but I'm interested to see this. I like how the story is right from a hundred lame 80's movies and that he's taken on the top two cliches: black friend and cute "geeky" girl.

And I love vomit gags.

I first saw this trailer a couple days ago on YouTube, and from there found countless videos from angry young men attacking the AVGN and this movie with the kind of venom usually reserved for George Lucas. I had no idea The Angry Video Game Nerd was such a controversial figure!

He had always wanted to get into filmmaking and he got the money, crew and resources to do it. For that I'm happy for him, and will support this movie. It looks fun as well.

I have to watch this.

I laughed hard when he's dressed like an alien getting to area 51 and sliding down the rock.

As usual, I was certain that a 2nd trailer will make this look better....But as far as the budget goes, I think this is all we're getting

I still wanted to see this anyway. Didn't even know that Jeremy (Bernie Mac Show,Brother Bear) Suarez was in the cast.

I will support Rolfe, so I'll see this. He realized a dream from a young age and worked hard to gain his fanbase. I'm happy for him.

Yeah. Guy worked hard to get to this. I (for the most part) really like his stuff. I'll support him.

I really hate that Motherfucking Mike guy. He's so boring.

I think it looks pretty good, for an ultra-low budget movie.

The Call of Duty commercial before the trailer probably had ten times the budget of this flick.

I'm ambivalent.

I like his video series but this is obviously going to be terrible. Good for him though, he's made it evident that he's as a big a film fan as video game and a dream of his to work in the industry.

That was brutally unfunny. You don't need a big budget to write good jokes.

I love the AVGN videos, and was really interested in seeing the movie. But after the trailer, I don't really care to see it.

Thought I was the only who felt this who looked terrible when I first started reading this. The keying in the car scene is so bad and the jokes are horrendous..."between area 50 and 52!!" ughhhh yeah I'm going to pass. AVGN was funny at first (circa 2006-2007) but now the character had its day.

As a fan of his from the start, I do fear that he's going to jump the shark on this one. It's a gamble, but I've got to support what he does as a small filmmaker who stumbled onto fame. I actually met Rolfe twice at video game signings at a shop in northern NJ.

Rolfe is at his best when he's just angrily reviewing crappy games. The "skits" have never been funny, and I can't imagine the act stretched out to two hours.

I just hope this gets a theatrical release for Oscar consideration.

I have never been a fan of this guy's stuff. His schtick of being faux-pissed off, and saying fuck a bunch, just rubs me the wrong way (even though when you dig past that stuff, he does raise valid points in his reviews). But even though he isn't for me, I too am happy to see the dude gaining success. Can't help but feel good about a guy that has cultivated success doing exactly what he wants to do.

There is nothing wrong w/ saying "fuck" a bunch of times.
