I flipped throught Netflix and saw there's a "Mean Girls 2" I watched it for about half an hour its terrible.

Kind of a weird one but I didn't know Rob Zombie did a sequel to his Halloween reboot until I saw it on syfy channel not too long ago.

I didn't know there was a NeverEnding Story 2 & 3 until a couple years ago.

Apparently there's a sequel to A Christmas Story.

Well, if the first one had only lived up to its title, there wouldn't need to be any sequels.

There's 3 or 4 different movies about Ralphie, his family, and his friends... with different casts.

prepare to have your mind blown.

I'd been a fan of The Rocky Horror Picture Show for several years and had seen it about a dozen times before I learned of the existence of Shock Treatment. This was in the dark pre-internet days, and I made this (among many other startling discoveries) while reading Lenard Martin's movie guide

Most surprising sequel for me to learn about was "Inspector Cleaseau" with Alan Arkin.

Several years ago, I saw Wrong Turn with Eliza Dushku battling inbred hillbillies, and just found out that there are FOUR sequels!

Although I haven't seen it, I remember when Shock Treatment was released in 1981. The Rocky Horror Picture Show was already a cult phenomenon by then, so there was some advanced hype for its sequel (I know I read about the movie somewhere... maybe in Starlog). But when released, the sequel was totally ignored and completely bombed at the box office. Reviews tore it to shreds and said it was trying too hard to also be a cult movie (for instance, I remember they said that it had built-in quiet "pauses" here and there throughout the film in order to allow the expected cult following to shout stuff at the screen).

Maybe I should finally watch Shock Treatment to see if it is as bad as claimed.

This is 100% accurate. There are a lot of spots/lines in the movie the makers were counting on generating audience comebacks.

However, overall I find it a real fun movie. There are more good songs than bad, and there are a lot of interesting elements to the movie. I think you'll find it's not as bad as claimed.

When i was young i was obsessed with Predator, but oblivious to cinema as a whole. Then i witnessed Predator 2 in the videostore. And it was every much awesomness in new ways.

True, but there is now literally A Christmas Story 2, shudder...

Just recently discovered the two Harry Palmer films from the 1990s. Bullet To Beijing and Midnight in St. Petersberg.

I didn't know there was a sequel to Old Yeller: Savage Sam, which was about Yeller's son.

Not really been surprised by unknown sequels but rather sequels that have gotten made such as The Sting 2 without the original stars, etc.

There's a few surprises there, especially 'Lawrence After Arabia' since Ralph Fiennes is a big star

I don't know about overseas, but in America these were TV movies. I think they were aired in 95 & 96. They were made around the same time Goldeneye came out and the Bond/Spy film was big again.

Also, Caine made a film called "Blue Ice" in 1992, which in America was an HBO pictures release. Originally, it was to be a Harry Palmer film, but they couldn't get the rights. So they just changed his character to Harry Anders.
