Maxim's 66 Best Horror Flicks You've Never Seen.
This was actually a pretty impressive list. I've seen like 85% myself and I've heard of pretty much all of them, but still I expected a much worse list.
Glad to see Black Christmas, Eyes Without a Face and I Saw the Devil listed, those are a few of my favorites.
In no real order, I just typed them in the order they were in the magazine but they weren't ranked or anything.
Brain Dead - 2007
Big Tits Zombie
Deep River Savages
Psychos in Love
The Innocents
Vampyres
The Long Island Cannibal Massacre
Dahmer Vs. Gacy
Raw Meat - 1973
Black Christmas - Real One
Theatre of Blood
Vampire Girl Vs. Frankenstein Girl
Pulse - Real one
The Seventh Curse
The Shiver of the Vampires
The Quatermass Xperiment
Deathdream
Attack of the Beast Creatures
Contamination .7
High Tension
The Bleeding House
The Midnight Meat Train
Cannibal Holocaust
Inseminoid
Martyrs
Dog Soldiers

This is how I perfer my horror-comedies. I've gotta thank icheckmovies for introducing me to that one.
I've been waiting for Midnight Meat Train to arrive on one of the uncut cable channels, but it still seems to be permanently stuck on SyFy or Chiller. Guess this means I'll finally rent it next month. I also have Frayed on the DVR, another to be watched next month.
I've been thinking of giving Shiver/Vampires a blind-buy (Yeah, I know, it's on netflix Instant. But I feel the urge to get a Rollin collection going)

I hardly watch any horror flicks and I've seen a handful of those. Granted I haven't seen any Ring/Saw/Hostel/Paranormal Activity movies.

Really?
They put Contamination .7 (AKA The Crawlers (AKA Troll 3)) on a list like this?

It's not very good. We already have a thread for the sequel, Dahmer Vs. Gacy 2: In Space

I've seen 3 on that list.
Eyes Without a Face had an awesome title and one that wasn't just a metaphor, but it wasn't quite as good as I thought it would be.
Dog Soldiers I rented at Hollywood Video and was pleasantly surprised.
Cannibal Holocaust was incredibly overrated as a cult horror film and not scary, but just gross and highly offensive like those Faces of Death videos.

I've seen 19. Heard of a few more and there's a whole bunch I haven't heard of. A Maxim list is not supposed to make me feel like a chump.

They don't have Big Tits Zombie on Netflix.

I saw this list advertised on the cover of the new issue when it hit my mailbox, and the first thing I thought was "Oh great, another bullshit Maxim list." Consider me surprised when I read it. Clearly, someone working there loves horror and has been waiting to publish this piece. I'll have to read it next time I take a crap. A lengthy crap.

Cannibal Holocaust was awful, one of the few films to genuinely piss me off. I don't understand the purpose of slaughtering real animals for entertainment.
Anyway, I consider myself a horror film fan but I have only seen a few of those. I'll have to check some of them out. It was great seeing Eyes without a Face, Pulse, and I Saw the Devil, some of my favorites. I often cite Pulse as the best J-horror film of modern times, with a very spooky atmosphere and somber tone. It also has a fascinating theme that's relevant to today's internet-obsessed society. Also Koji Yakusho and Sho Aikawa have random cameos.
Considering some of the real stinkers on the list I'd like to see them include Onibaba or Blood for Dracula.

Kiyoshi Kurosawa should get more props.
Cure (Kyua) is one of the best police procedural thrillers, right up there with Silence of the Lambs IMO.
Charisma, Seance & Retribution are also great fims as are also his dramas.
