Guillermo del Toro Presents: Mama (w/d: Muschietti) S: Chastain, Coster-Waldau

Jessica Chastain looks downright edible with her short black haircut - all alternative and shit. Yum.

The film looks creepy as hell, too.

So it's a cross of Orphan and Ju-on. I'll watch it, sure why not.

Jessica Chastain? My first reaction is..."Yes, dear god, yes. More of her...." Then I see the trailer..and I'm not interested. I'll check it out if it gets some good word.

This has a real "been there done that " vibe.

If this is as good as Ju-on: The Grudge...I'll be more than satisfied.

doesn't look very good at all, made even worse by the fact that i've seen that same trailer fifteen times now.

It's Guillermo. Even when he "presents" it's pretty damn good.

I have a feeling that "mama" doen't take "no" for an answer. I'll see it.

Aside from Chastain, who indeed looks scrumptious here, this looks terrible.

Looks like a piece of shit, trailer wise. comes from the Domino Harvey and Colombiana school of "let's repeat one word or phrase over and over."

That never works for a trailer. Chastain is a good actress so I'll chalk this up as her one pass for the year.

Did neither of you watch the short film? That was freaky.

It's being released in January, that should say enough. I hope this doesn't hurt Chastain's Oscar chances .

Meh. Just because something walks oddly doesn't make it scary.

I'll see it in a heartbeat. It looks like Del Toro was more involved in this than the normal slap a "presents" in front of the title.

I've read if this does well at the box office, the studio will immediately fast track the sequel "Dada".

I feel like I've been seeing this trailer attached to every movie I've seen in the past year. Will this ever come out?
