interesting. Will probably see this to see McConaughey do some serious work...so rare that it's a must see. Though lately..it's been the constant. Either way..such a work from that man in the serious form mustn't be missed, at least for me.
EDIT: fucked up the thread title. Mod has been PM'ed.

Well, aside from the horrendous misspellings and thread title fuckup, this does look interesting.
Daniels does interesting work, and Kidman hasn't made a bad move in years, IMO.
I might give this a chance, in spite of Gray, McConaughey and Efron.

Is this supposed to be like a John Grisham movie John Grisham didn't write directed by Craig Brewer of Black Snake Moan fame? Seems like a mashup of those two things plus an old looking Nicole Kidman.

...I'm not sure you read the unbolded part that you didn't bold. lol. He's been a lot fun lately. I want him to get recognition but then he just does that stupid crap and it's all gone for a while. He's a fucking solid actor that is still kind of unknown for it among the common moviegoer.

The hype on this from Cannes is that there is a scene where Kidman
It sounds really strange. I don't see how that works into the film. Seems like a scene that would be in a slapstick comedy not this film.

Saw this today. I didn't love it, but thought it was pretty good. I really enjoyed the music in the film. The main piano theme used in some key scenes is quite haunting.

MM was better in Killer Joe.
Cusack, on the other hand, felt like Lloyd Dobler grew up and became a total sleaze, and may or may not have also become a cold-hearted murderer.
The film was shot on 16mm, for those that are interested in such things.
Also, my wife tells me that, in the book...
