Motley Crue and Kiss 2012 North American Tour.
Motley Crue and KISS held a press conference today (March 20) to officially announce details of their co-headlining 2012 North American summer tour. The two-month trek is scheduled to kick off July 20 in Bristow, Va., and run through a Sept. 23 show in Hartford, Conn.
When asked about the pairing, Crue bassist Nikki Sixx commented, I think its a perfect match, maybe a match made in hell, but a perfect match.
As for what to expect on the tour, KISS singer-bassist Gene Simmons declared, What youre gonna hear onstage is live music no karaoke singers allowed, no fake bullst.
Among the other details revealed were that KISS would play last every night, and that each band would play for approximately 90 minutes.
Tickets for the tour are set to go on sale this Friday, March 23, with fan club presales launching tomorrow, March 21. More details can be found on the official websites of Motley Crue and KISS. Check out the full list of tour dates below:

$185 for pit seats @ Irvine?
Pass. I'm not a Crue fan, and I saw KISS in '09. The $150 I paid for floor seats to that will tide me over for... ever, probably. The only way I'll drop that much for KISS again is if Ace & Peter rejoin.

I saw both bands last year and was bored silly by each of them. KISS was doing it's usual "greatest hits live", as was Crue. I have *zero* interest in seeing either again at this time, ESPECIALLY outdoors, in July, doing 80 minute sets.

Were there 12 people at the press conference?

This article skipped the truly memorable Gene Simmons quote about the tour
"Come out, we’ll blow shit up, go home and fuck your girlfriend, that’s it,"

I'd rather stay home and fuck my girlfriend while listening to classic KISS.
FWIW, if I had to cash to drop the REAL way to see KISS would be on their KISS Kruise. 3 nights of sets with DEEP cuts being played, no "Rock & Roll All Nite" b.s.

I'll grab a couple of tickets for the Mass. show to give my wife for her birthday. Absolutely nothing I'm interested in, but she loves Crue.

I'll be happy next year when Motley Crue are supposed to have a new album, and The Dirt is finally going to be made into a movie.

About $75 for lawn here in the Bay Area (CA). Still on the fence.

I'm in. Got tix for the Cincy show yesterday.
Anyone else notice the feathers on Paul's new outfit?
And the things on Gene's new outfit look like teeth.

I saw MC open for KISS back in 1982. It was my first concert and the tickets were like $11...and they were FLOOR SEATS.
I'll pass on this show.

I'd rather see MC w/o KISS. Seeing them at age 60 still wearing the make-up and only singing the hits... not appealing in the least. Sort of sad, actually.

That press conference just came across as sad. I would still likely see them but we are going to be at the beach when they come to The 'Ham. Not real fond of the ticket prices though.

As much as I'd like to see them, I'm not going to pay those inflated prices. Both bands, for years, have been saying this is going to be so over the top crazy, etc., etc. and all they really do is change their stage a bit. Granted, Tommy is good about changing up his drum solo, but that's about it. The set lists for both bands barely change.
IMO what they need to do is get about 4-6 other bands to go with them and make it a Monsters of Rock festival type thing on Saturdays like used to happen in the 80s. They could still headline to feed their egos. That's someting I would actually pay 100 bucks a seat for.
