Is there any truth to this rumor? I live in New York, and I was listening to talk-radio host Mark Cooper, on the Morning-show called "Waking Up With Coop," and he mentioned that Val Kilmer was going to play Axl Rose in the Guns N Roses movie because they were discussing how good Kilmer was as Jim Morrison in "The Doors" movie (that "The Doors" movie had problems, but Kilmer wasn't a part of the problem, etc, etc).

Anyway, I've peeked online to see if there's any mention of a Guns N Roses movie, but nah-dah.

As for my "two cents" (if the rumors are true), I think Val Kilmer is way too old to portray Axl Rose.

Kilmer is fat enough, though. He's got that same "full face" Rose is rocking.

GNR with its mostly original lineup released 4 albums, 2 at the same time, 1 a cover, and an EP with half live tracks.

I love GNR, but there is no way they are making a movie about them.

Sure, he can play contemporary Axl, but can he pull off 1988 Axl?

A movie about guys that are still alive and one of them being a real doucher isn't much of a draw in my opinion. Now, if they made a movie about their heyday around Appetite and everything that led up to it and happened shortly thereafter it would be ok.

I think a movie is justified. The 'Appetite' Days were WILD. If 'The Doors' were worthy, GNR is worthy...now...as for Val playing Axl.....I can't see it.
