Watching RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, I rooted for the humans (except for James Franco). Does that make me guilty of rooting for the "bad guys"? Of course, from my perception, those of you who rooted for the vicious Caesar and his monstrous apes were guilty of that.

With anti-heroes does it matter if the conflict is with other bad buys or with good guys.
Scarface and Payback are bad guys vs bad guys.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid/Bonnie and Clyde the antigonists are good guys that you should be rooting for but you're rooting for the bad guys just the same.

Also I always root for Godzilla whether he's the good or bad guy.
There's probably other horror villains I root for, such as Creature from the Black Lagoon. For once I'd like him to get the lady at the end.
