Hopefully this isn't like the Rebecca Black video - something so horridly awful it gets popular for being awful, then someone somewhere mistakes that popularity as people actually liking it, and then we are subjected to even more of them.

I don't see much of a difference between the first video and NKOTB or Backstreet Boys.

I'm pretty sure this is a joke. The guy who is "Chad" is a director who does comedy videos. He did "myspace the movie" etc. Pretty genius idea- make the worst boyband imaginable and rack up views with people bashing it apart.
