I'm not sure what possessed me to dig this one out, other than a pressing need to listen to "Whatcha' Need". I'm glad I did. An extremely underrated and relatively short-lived band that got little to no exposure in the States.

I love it (and the movie!) more and more every time.

I knew the Keane album would be bad, but...man, it's just execrable. The first three tracks (including the throwaway intro) are tolerable at best, but it derails after that, culminating with the Rocky-themed "Looking Back", which is the worst thing they have ever done. It closes with something of a return to form in "My Shadow", perhaps just to give long-suffering fans a glimmer of hope, or a reason to declare that the album wasn't all that bad. Don't be fooled.

i've listened to it everyday since "finding" the tracks from the show ripped to MP3 a couple weeks ago. They should officially put them out, i'd download them day 1.

Its like putting on an old sweater that you love and find so comfortable but nobody else likes. It is predictable and the exact same Cake sound (they even rehash some riffs they have frequently used). But if you like Cake, there are some standout tracks that you will love. However, the album as a whole is lacking a little energy, especially near the end.

All day today I've listened on-loop to what is by far my favorite album of the year so far . . .
