Really surprised the Joe Bob Briggs commentary was carried over from the Elite release.
I hope it makes it to the BD version too

I liked the VHS case better

Makes it feel much more seedy

I used to own the Elite release years ago, but sold it. I will say that both commentaries are highly recommended. In my opinion, go with the Meir Zarchi commentary first to get all the dirt on the films production and aftermath. Then the Briggs commentary for his take on the film including pointing out the flaws that Zarchi naturally overlooks.

Well nuts. Great for everyone else, but I'll take credit for the Briggs commentary being ported over as I picked up an OP Elite disc first thing when I heard the rumor that they weren't. I've got too many fond memories of Monstervision not to have that commentary in my collection!

here's my brief review (i was one of the lucky ones to see it in theaters)
Re: I Spit On Your Grave (2010)
saw it tonight. I was actually surprised at the fact that the basic story/setup was pretty much the same from the original. The rape scene is in fact very disturbing and long (and not unintentially funny. If you watch the original, some of the guys faces while they're in rape mode, make me laugh for some reason, eh, blame the joe bob briggs commentary). the kills are kind of in the torture porn area, and i can def see why the mpaa had trouble with some of it. "fans" of the original/gore hounds will enjoy it, most others wont.
Surprsingly there was actually people at my screening, and there weren't any walkouts, and the kills got applause. If anyone has questions, i'll gladly answer
Also here are the main differences that i noticed (outside of the kills which are def more amped up and nastier/gorier then the original)
