Is this worth a double dip?


I own the single disc snap case and maybe hoping after xmas is over it might be discounted?

It's never been heavily discounted, but the bonus features are pretty good, interviews, commentary, so yeah. The Blu-Ray has everything on 1 disc and is usually cheaper than the 2 Disc DVD.

This single disc is full frame. The 2 disc is anamorphic widescreen. Id say thats reason enough. the extras are pretty lame IMO.

Just picked up the 2D version @ my local Walmart located in a stand up display of Christmas films for $5.00-

Not true. The Blu-Ray is missing the Jean Shepherd radio recordings, which are one of the best extras, as well as a featurette on the leg lamp.

The leg lamp featurette is on the BD, but my mistake, Jean Sheperd audio program. Also misses out on the 2 games, but we can live with that.

You should pick up the Ultimate Collector's Edition. Very nice!!

Picture quality is better, too.

Does this new 2 disc have the radio recordings ?

There's no new two-disc, it just looks like a slightly different-colored package.
Only the Blu-Ray seems to have omitted the recordings.
