Never seen the all region DVD up anywhere though or else I'd get that one. I always seem Region 2's on Ebay.

Still need to watch the show after I DVR'd it on Halloween night.

But this gets here that fast, its possible I won't have to watch it on my DVR.

I can confirm that the original Region 2 release on amazon.co.uk works in my region-free Philips DVD player. There is also a "repackaged" Region 2 edition from last year, but I'm not sure if that includes the original disc.

We just watched this one recorded off of IFC. Unfortunately no IFC HD for us, so it was in pretty bad SD, but it was still really cool. I'd be all over a US release (BD prefered, but beggers won't be choosers for this one). Please post your thoughts on this R0 version...might be worth the risk if there are no US versions in sight...

Not sure how it was originally shot, but IFC HD didn't have it in HD either.

Just having trouble finding any information about the releasing Dead Set in Non-R2 Format.

Got mine today as well. Sounds like I shouldn't have any problems either but I'll make sure to test it tonight.

Edited because I just tested it and all works fine and looks great.

I think the only flaw (and its a personal one) is on the HD IFC version everything fit in a nice box screen format and its fullscreen on the DVD.

Ah well, no big deal.

Hurm...it's fullscreen? That's a bummer. According to imdb it should be 1.78:1. Unless of course imdb is wrong and full is the OAR. Anyone know for sure? Part of me would like to hold off and see if we get a nice R1 release of this since it seems to have been a hit on IFC, but part of me thinks I should get this while the getting is good...

Thanks much Lemmy. What the heck..ordered it up. We really loved the show and it will be nice seeing it on DVD instead of the really bad feed my SD IFC had.

Settings should be fine. I've never touched them from the day I turned on the TV. :-)

I'll check the disc again tonight and see if there's something I need to do.
