Looks good but im confused about exactly what the hell is going on? Is it a horror film? a action film? a drama?

Watched this the other night. Disappointing. I expected a lot more out of it given the setup, but it failed to deliver.

This

It was pretty good until the last 5 mins, where they just blueball the viewer

Me too. I didn't seeit as horror more of a sci-fi or fantasy.

Spoiler:
Needed to see the monster but didn't only it's horns sticking out of a lock of ice.
And he kid on the net under the helicopter was pretty ridiculous.
Also it was too short. I think it was less than 90 minutes. I felt like it was building up to something when the Santa Claus monster showed up, and it really was but than I looked at the time left and saw the movie was just about over.

When it was over I was thinking, "this is it?"

Re: Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010)

Just saw this. I have to agree with the earlier criticisms. Things were going along fine, but it was a huge letdown when
Spoiler:
Santa Claus doesn't even make an appearance. Not even a brief scene of the creature breaking free of the ice before getting blown up. Sure, that would've cost a little money. But sometimes money has to be spent, as opposed to teasing the audience for the whole movie with something that never happens.

Still better made than 2010's Dutch killer Santa movie "Sint" which also falls short of delivering what you hoped, though at least it
Spoiler:
actually has Santa killing people.
