When i was growing up, I remember I saw a cartoon that scared the bajesus out of me. It was a Hiroshima and Nagasaki cartoon and it showed people being sick, dying, etc.

Based on trailers, I believe it was Grave of the Fireflies.

Definitely NOT Grave of the Fireflies. That had nothing to do with Hiroshima or Nagasaki, but rather was focused on civilian victims of Allied firebombing.

From the perspective of a child, I think it is Grave of the Fireflies - I remember thinking it was about Hiroshima when I saw this movie when I was a kid.

Could be either, Barefoot Gen is certainly a lot more gruesome.

I just watched a Care Bear movie with my 5 year old daughter. It featured a Care Bear who was in an Iron Mech Warrior style suit that was forcing the other Care Bears to go on a ride that stole their belly patches. Weirdest thing I've seen in a while.
