The Wire: The Complete Series- $104.99

I love this series and have been waiting for the price on this to drop. At $20 a season, it's a damn good deal!

Just a heads-up... This set has been less than 3 digits many times over the past few years, so it may pay to wait a little while longer. Also, Best Buy typically does an HBO sale just after Christmas (I think?), where there sets can run half off.

As does Amazon...

In Jan 09 I picked up:

Six Feet Under Complete series for $60
Deadwood Complete series for $65
and The Wire Complete series for $82

during Amazon's HBO sale.

I know they did it this year as well but didn't pay attention because I already had what I wanted.

Good to know..I'll try to buy one locally or wait on amazon's sale. I bought a complete set of The Wire on eBay for 55 bucks, turned out to be a bootleg. It was before I realized they were so abundant on HBO series. I have one of the Sopranos Ultimate Giftset too, as well as SFU, but for $30 on SFU and $50 on Sopranos, I just couldn't pass that up, bootleg or not. I just wanna have a "real" set of The Wire.

Got all but the last season of "The Wire" when Hollywood Video went bust. Took two stores,but got them less than 5 bucks per disc,and they were in great shape. Guess it's good that Disney wasn't involved.
