For those in the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, & ?) G.O. has been getting in similar but in many cases different titled Warner dvd's to/then Big Lots. The price is higher, but they're also marking down slower sellers pretty quickly first to $3.33, then $2.50.

A few titles that stuck in my brain were both versions of Blade Runner (1 & 2 disc), 2 disc of Planet Of The Apes remake, Who's That Girl, a Janet Jackson concert & for those who missed it at Bl the 2 disc SE of Webber's Phantom Of The Opera.

Also some of the 2 film sets that are $6 at BL are in this $4.99 batch. Like BL, some had slashes, some didn't. I didn't buy any, but your tastes may be different then mine!

While they also sell "pre-viewed" this batch is brand new with the factory plastic strip on the top.

The one I went to last week had a few Eagle Rock music DVD at $4.99, I would've bought a few if they were a little lower (funny how I'm now complaining about 5 bucks being too high!) Good to hear they mark them down, I'll check back in a couple weeks.

We have Grocery Outlet down here in California, too. I'll have to check some out. Thanks for the heads up.

Found several copies of the 2-disc SE of Batman Forever for $4.99.

Mine had 3 of The Eagle Rock's today, nut nothing I wanted (Hall & Oates, Willie Nelson, making of Elton John Yellow Brick Road).

My GO got a BIG restock. There were a bunch of the standard Big Lots type movies (Somewhat weaker titles from Warner & others), & a number of Eagle 1 & 2 disc concert dvd's. I bought the Alice Cooper 2000 2 disc; also saw ELP isle Of Wight, Lou Reed Montreux, Bonnie Raitt live, Elvis Costello live, a Genesis that was said to have early Collins as frontman performances, Janet Jackson, a Marvin Gaye 2 disc, several of the classic album series dvd's & more.

I continue to believe (based solely on observation) that the Big Lots drought is being caused by a wholesale price increase that BL was not willing to pay, but that other retailers were willing to pay.

I went to a couple of locations here in Portland and left with three dvd's:

Blade Runner (two-disc Final Cut version)

Blondie (live in NY 1999 concert dvd and bonus cd from Eagle Rock)

Silence Of The Lambs (widescreen SE)
