Re: Best Buy 10% off Coupon (10/6/10 -10/11/10)
I just got a bunch of the (almost monthly) 10% off coupons they mail me for this upcoming weekend and they don't require a cell phone to use. So I'd expect people should be able to find links to those or scans somewhere (maybe Slickdeals). I throw the coupons I get each month in a booklet I carry with me, and they always end up in the trash. Why? Because (as we all probably know by now) they won't work on sale items such as the few things I'd like to buy this weekend... for instance a few of the $9.99 BDs on sale this week. I know some people claim they work at their stores on sale items, but I always get rejected. These are what I called Fantasyland coupons. They pretend to be (like a fantasy) 10% off coupons, but good luck finding anything not on sale that's worth buying even with the coupon. I have the same problem with a lot of Sears or Sports Authority coupons. They have so many exclusions it would be much easier to list what they do work on rather than what they don't.

I get these 10% off coupons from BestBuy regularly, and regularly throw them away. 10% off BestBuy DVD prices is a joke. -kd5-

10% off Best Buy REGULAR (non-sale) dvd prices are a joke! I agree. Someone care to share how to turn this into a win?

I used to do pretty well when they stacked with sale items. The cashiers used to be a lot more lenient in the past. Now, I get shot down about 90% of the time, so I don't go out of my way to use them. The sad part is 10% really isn't that great of a discount to begin with so shaving an extra dollar off a sale dvd wouldn't put Best Buy into Chapter 11.

So you tried to use a coupon in a way that the coupon specifically states it can't be used (it says regular-priced) and because the store went by that wording, you never used the store again? OK....

Although his reasoning isn't sound, I agree it is ridiculous not to accept coupons on sale items. Lots of stores accept coupons on sale items, and some even on clearance stuff. Just my two cents.

This coupon doesn't have "no new releases" wording on it, so you could use this one. Not that you're going to break your vow, but just an FYI.

Yes, I agree as well, but I'm certainly not going to stop going to the store just because they adhere to the wording on their coupons.
