Bought this about a month ago at BB.com for $25.00. Nice set but the PQ is not that good for those interested-

I'm hoping the Mill Creek Hunter Complete Series shows up for a bargain price at DD this fall. I have the first season, and it looks pretty crisp vs. the usual fuzzy Mill Creek look.

Also, basically all the music is replaced or just removed, if that matters to you. In most cases it just negatively alters the tone of scenes , but in a few spots it's absurd. There's one scene where someone angrily turns off a radio which wasn't playing anything and another scene in which some students are now blasting some instrumental smooth jazz and their teacher turns it off and one of them says something like "What's the matter, Mr. Miller? Don't you like rap music?"

I don't think the music changes are exlusive to the Mill Creek versions... unless someone can confirm otherwise.. anyone.. ?

Yeah, true. All of the U.S. releases have had the original music removed. Supposedly one of the foreign releases had the music intact, but I've never been able to verify if that's true or not.

I think that's because 21 Jump Street, as an early Fox show, was filmed on videotape and it's damn near impossible to remaster it. So the image will always be fuzzy because it was done to save cash early on. A lot of early shows suffer from that.

Unless a show looks like a soap opera, it was shot on film. What's usually the case is since it was all post-produced on video tape at video resolutions with the quality of the equipment at the time, it's going to look poor compared to today and the studios are unwilling to spend the money to go back to the film of the film elements no longer exist.

Yeah the early seasons of Friends suffer from that, I believe cause the later seasons certainly look better!

.. that is just over 1/2 the price I paid when it first came out.. wish I would have waited...
