Best thing to do is get their Halloween blus from their website. If you order now you'll probably get free site-to-store before Halloween. There are a lot of nice blu titles for under $10 as per the walmart blu-ray bargain thread in the blu-ray bargain discussion board.

I was at Walmart today and looked, but didn't see any blu ray deals on horror movies. I did get Crocodile Dundee 1-3 for $13, so all was not lost.

Went to my local walmart yesterday. They had five titles of blu-ray horror for around 15. I think I remember seeing Halloween and Hellraiser, but nothing unexpected or worth bragging about.

Hmmm ... Considering all the ones here already have Christmas merchandise on display, I assume they started putting out Halloween stuff in July, and it's just all sold out already.

We already have them in the back at our store. They should be put out in the next week or so. It depends on how diligent the people working at your local store are.

I didn't get a chance to look at what's in the Halloween stash, but the boxes are dated for 10/28. So if your local Wally World is on the ball, the stuff should be put out on Tuesday.

If you use that Site-to-Store crap, can they just pick it off the shelve if they already stock it at that location or do you actually have to wait for them to ship a copy to there?

If it's on the shelf at your store, why would you order it online? If the price is different online, then just print the product page off and "price match" their website.

Yeah, you do. It sometimes takes up to twenty days, but it's worth it for free shipping. I ordered my Halloween blus on the 22nd so I should get it by the end of October easy. It's only supposed to take 12 days tops (I think) so if it starts taking longer you can complain and sometimes they'll expedite it.

They had started to put out the horror stuff for Halloween. It was in with the regular dvds, in the "movie spotlight" section. A couple 8 movie packs (those $5 bin dvds that have 4 movies each) that weren't too expensive, $7.50 classics (dawn of the dead 78, return of the living dead etc) $9 titles and a few $13 titles. I didn't look at every shelf marker but it seemed to be the normal run of the mill stuff for this time of year.

22 was the longest. The shortest was 10. I think they're starting to use their own trucks to organize the shipments. In the old days, when it took a lot shorter, they actually used to USPS it to the store. Now I don't see a single shipping label, just routing numbers on walmart stickers. The major hub seems to be in NV, and once it gets there it takes several days before that routes off to my state. But at the prices I've been getting blu-rays at walmart.com, it's worth the wait than paying six to fifteen dollars more elsewhere.

I was at a Walmart today that had Halloween dvds out. I remember seeing for $13 - the 2 NoES four movie packs, the New Line 3 movie Jason pack, Jennifer's Body, and a bunch of $7 including the original Halloween and a bunch of kids dvds like the It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and Hocus Pocus. There was nothing to get that excited about.
Also: I saw no Blurays in the Halloween dvds.

Movies saw...
Dead Silence
Geroge A. Romero’s Night Of The Living Dead: 40th Anniversary Edition
Altered
Blair Witch Project, The
Halloween packs = holiday horror flicks
The titles come with a new face, a sheet over the DVDs declaring them Halloween related.
Nothing for me either. I all ready own the titles I enjoy. I was expecting more.

some of the horror packs are descent, they are put out by lionsgate. the zombie one was good, even though i wish that the version of return of the living dead 3 was the unrated version which i dont believe has ever been released on r1 dvd, instead of the r rated version. also, one of the other packs has reposessed, which is a good campy spoof of the excorcist, with leslie nielson.
