The "I am tired of seeing this trailer" thread
I seem to remember a similar one being done last year around this time. This is obviously a thread devoted to movie trailers you are sick of seeing and the only reason you truly anticipate the release is so the previews will stop.
Two that pop to mind immediately:
-Devil- I swear I have yet to go to a movie since this trailer was released in mid-July that hasn't shown a preview for this. The more I see it, the less I care about the movie.
-Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps- I actually have an interest in seeing this, but like the one above, this is something that I think I have seen with every movie since it first arrived.

Wow, looks like we all are on the same page. The 3 recent trailers that come to mind are Vantage Point, Devil, and Shutter Island.

Shutter Island oddly enough...I didn't see a lot of. I saw it every once in a while but no where near Vantage Point or Devil standards.

Hot Tub Time Machine when it came out.

I think I've been to the theater maybe five times total all year, but I've seen a lot of Devil TV spots. Of course, it wouldn't be so annoying if it weren't for that "TURN ON THE LIIIIIIIGHTS!" line. Come to think of it, the barrage of Piranha 3D ads also became old very quickly. "THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE WAAAATEEER!"

I've noticed that overly dramatic movie trailers have came back with fury.
These are the ones that bothered me most.
'Precious' was terrible.
'Conviction', the new Swank film was just too dramatic for it's own good.
'The Company Men', the new Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones movie is chock full of crappy sentiment.
'Morning Glory' although a 'comedy' has a really goofy over-the-top dramatic moment in the trailer.

I remember the trailers in the 90s were really stylish and sold their movies with lots of pomp and splendor but is it me or have there been really awkward wet fart trailers for the 00s, like the trailers end with a really crappy line or something really stupid in the scene which is probably intended to be funny in our really ironic/sarcastic modern age but it's really sucky.

Devil, Shutter Island, and Wall Street 2.
I can't fault the last two though because they were delayed by a few months here and there. But Devil is ridiculous.

I see a lot of Shutter Island. I can understand that, but I meant for this to be about current movies in the coming weeks/months, not ones in the past. Just some clarification!
