Does not seem like that good of deal considering that you can get them for 33 bucks a peice shipped brand new from a half a dozen diffrent Amazon marketplace sellers.

I wonder what Amazon thinks when there deal of the day on something like the war is 50 bucks and right there on the same page is 6 amazon marketplace sellers selling it brand new for 33 bucks shipped

Is $37.99 the lowest price Amazon or any other retailer ever offer on the Ken Burns Civil War set?

My local PBS station always wanted me to pledge close to $200 to get these. This is a bargain!!!!

The $37.99 price for "Civil War" was not offered to all customers. It was a selection sent to targeted customers based on their prior purchases, for an additional 5% discount over the normal price; it is an offer which is part of their "deal of the day" and "gold box" specials.

"The War" may be on sale, through the end of the month, at Family Video.

Ken Burns Presents The West is down to 39.99.

I was able to get The War a year ago at a Blockbuster that was shutting down for $15. So I feel pretty lucky.

I'll wait until they're $23.99 at costco.

Some of these are available at Costco now but not for 23.99. I don't expect Costco to offer them for that price anytime soon.
