Can someone help me remember a creepy movie from childhood?
This isn't the same movie/show I'm asking about in the TV forum.
For years I thought it was some sort of incarnation of "Babes in Toyland" but I've never tracked it down.
The distinguishing feature was there were two henchmen with blank faces, just like eggs. Other than that, I'd say it was a show movie from the maybe late 40s, but likely 50s-60s, unless it was something older that was colorized.
I say I thought it was "Babes in Toyland" because the name Barnabus sticks out.
This one has plagued me for years and figured it's about time to see if anyone can help.

No, it wasn't THX-1138. It was definitely a more child oriented program and was definitely fantasy/fairy tale themed.

There were a few different Babes in Toylands made. The most well known was with Laurel and Hardy.
There was a tv movie where a guy dressed as Santa tells the story of Babes in Toyland to a young lost girl. Its possible you've seen this and are just combinig scenes from both versions? I know I've seen bits of this one and the color of the film was really saturated too.
That villains name was Barnaby though. Barnabus was the old vampire from Dark Shadows.
