I would like to think that this weekend guys will stick to their guns and say "we're going to see this dang it!" But I see the Julia Roberts movie, while made for a totally different demographic, getting a better showing because guys who have gfs will be forced to make a choice and cave. It will be the whole "I want to see whatever you want," deal, but the guy won't pick Expendables because he fears/knows he will get a slow guilt from the girl.

Or maybe I'm completely wrong and Expendables won't do well because most of today's young men in the dating scene don't remember the Expendables cast nor their significance in action cinema.

This topic sounds familiar. Most guys in relationships are pussies so they will opt for whatever the woman wants to see.

I may be a pussy, but there's no fucking way I'm seeing Eat Pray Love.

If my wife and I were going to the theater this weekend, we'd see The Expendables and she'd be perfectly fine with it. If she has any interest in Eat Pray Love at all, she knows I'd see it with her when it hits video.

My girlfriend wants to see Eat Pray Love.

I told her the only way I'd take her to see it is if we see The Expendables and Scott Pilgrim first.

She agreed.

Here's hoping Eat Pray Love sinks faster than the Titanic and I don't have to go see it.

My girlfriend has an Expendables link on her facebook wall and I don't think she's even heard of Eat Pray Love.

...being the mad man of The Expendables Thread...I just have this. And i'll be damned if I see that film over Sly's new film or Wright's new film..which I'll also see..but after my final exam is over..not the midnight showing like with what I'm doing w/ The Expendables.

I wouldn't date a girl who didn't want to see the Expendables. Several of my female friends have been raving about it, and I haven't heard anyone talk about Eat.

I'm woman who will only see Eat, Pray, Love when it comes airs on network television and there isn't a Snuggie infomercial that conflicts with it.

Well my wife really wants to see Scott Pilgrim, doesn't really care about the Expendables, and thinks Eat, Pray, Love looks like shit... We will be seeing Pilgrim and Expendables this weekend.

My wife would see THE EXPENDABLES about four dozen times before she even thought of watching "Eat Pray Love" or even making me watch it with her. I think she might have hated "Marley & Me" more than I did, and I fucking *loathed* that piece of shit movie.

If you have to suffer through shit for the sake of your relationship, your relationship is shittier than than the shit you're suffering through.

Fiance is down for Expendables and has no interest in Eat Pray Love. I remember how I glowed with pride when she first saw the trailer: every time another action hero popped up on screen she was like: whaaaaa??!!

Even if there was a snowball's chance that I'd want to see Eat..Pray..Love I wouldn't force my husband to see it with me. That's pretty cruel.

Most chicks like chick flicks, most guys like action movies. If you're in a good relationship, you'll probably figure out how to see both.

No. I'll see the films want to see. If they correalate w/ her great. If not...oh well. I only will see a film, which I paid for, if I want to see it. I'll be damned if I'm ever dragged to something I have no intention of watching. Now if she pays for it to drag me in...MAYBE...but I has to be something that I may have had an interest in but never the necessary want or need to see it.

Every relationship is based around compromise, but if you find yourself consistenly dragged into situations, events, or opportunities that approximate the worst the Ludivico Treatment could ever have to offer, I suggest the relationship is a failure.
