So at a glance this looks like a rerelease of the previous set with some new material (the 10th inning). The current version has 10 discs and is priced at around $75. Has that set ever been available this cheap? Hard to believe, but I've never seen this and I've continued to put off picking it up.

To answer my own question, it looks like there was a thread in 11/09 when Amazon had this for $50.99 as well but again that was with the current version minus the new material.

Sounds like a good price, and to each his own, but my idea of hell is watching Ken Burns.

Yeah, Burns' take on baseball is great if you care what civil war historians and show business celebrities think about the sport, are fans of the Yankees or the Red Sox and have the mindset that winning means everything in life. And let's not forget his constant solemn reminders that white people should forever be ruled by guilt over their treatment of black people.
