Unstoppable (Tony Scott, 2010) Denzel Washington, Chris Pine & A Runaway Toxic Train
Plot Summary from IMDB: Unstoppable, a 20th Century Fox drama about a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. Pits an engineer and his conductor in a race against time. They're chasing the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that will decimate a town.
Hopefully, the Soul Asylum song will pop up in the final act in a dramatic, slow motion montage. Only then would I actually pay to see this.

Oh that's horrible.
Man... I want my 2:32 back.
The funny thing is, I like everyone involved in that film that I will most likely never see.

I don't know if it's just me but even with the Denzel and the Tony Scott and the quick cuts and the Soul Asylum and the cops shooting at the train (?!), Ethan Suplee still stands out by looking out of place and totally rocking the Randy Hickey .

I'll watch it. Looked good to me. Big fan of Tony Scott and Denzel action collaborations. The only one that didn't really work for me was The Taking of Pelham 123.

Theatrical poster is online. Shame that they misspelled Paul Walker, though.

Pretty shitty poster, in my opinion.

Saw the preview before Machete. Looks like a pure unadulterated pile of shit. No surprise.

This movie looks pretty bad. But I kind of like where The Scotts are going with it (action film, based on true story, no typical bad guys). The basis seems like it would be refreshing. But that trailer isn't convincing. And it feels like it could be 'so bad that it's good'.
I'll see it, just because I like to support everything that RSA/Scott Free does.

I'm so sick of seeing this trailer in theaters. It looks terribly boring - nothing in the trailer makes me remotely interested. How does Denzel keep getting these generic vehicles made? Better yet - why?

Looks good to me. Kind of like Speed on a train.

I'm a whore for Tony Scott, so I'll be seeing this in the theatre. And yes, I know his movies are just getting worse and worse according to the general populous, but still.

This movie looks like a pile of shit. Tony Scott hasn't impressed me since True Romance.

Gee, do you think they'll stop the train?
Nice to see Chris Pine more or less on equal footing with the likes of Denzel though. Their faces are the same size on that poster and he's "above the title" as well. I thought he was great as Kirk.

The plot sounds kinda goofy but I'll bet it ends up being better than expected.

Just got back from this and wow. This sounds Peter Travers-ish but Scott takes what could've been a standard made-for-TV story and transforms it into one of the most exhilarating moviegoing experiences in years. I was skeptical but this is one of the best "action" films I've seen in a while. Loved it.

That sounds Peter Travers-ish as all get out.
I'm still highly skeptical, but a tad less.

I rolled by eyes in the first two minutes when it was all videos of trains and shit, but once the movie got going it had me from beginning to end. Hope to see it again.
