Laurence Fishburne's 19-year-old daughter is making a serious push to break into Hollywood -- and she's doing it with a hardcore sex tape.


TMZ has learned Montana Fishburne is starring in a porno flick for Vivid Entertainment -- explaining, "I've watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape."

Unlike the celeb she admires -- Montana is not arguing that her tape was stolen or obtained illegally.

We're told the flick is set to be released in August.

Unless Laurence Fishburne also did porn, that thread title is misleading.

It's pretty sad what a sex tape can do for a hopeful, albeit misguided, person seeking fame. The only thing worse than Kim Kardashian gaining fame through a sex tape is her family riding her coattails as a result, either by reinvigorating their name, or creating a new brand.

Yes, Fishburne is being honest about her motivation for releasing a tape, but its sad that this is viewed as a viable option for anybody. I'd love for this to turn out to be an elaborate hoax, and is really part of a greater project, like say a documentary about the current state of fame.

Isn't being Laurence Fishburne's (who has over 80 credits to his name and has been in the business for over 30 years) daughter enough to at least get a shot?

I mean just being the offspring of a famous person doesn't guarantee success, but I would have to think being his daughter would at the very least give her a better shot at getting auditions. That's all she can ask for. Just a shot and then it's up to her to get the part.

I'd rather her get a chance through nepotism than see her set a precedent for this type of bullshit.

I'm no prude, pornography is great, and if she wishes to break into that industry, more power to her. But it is this quote that really bothers me;
