HRm...what's w/ Bettany and these type of films? Anyway....looks somewhat neat. Not original but it may be fun. Better looking upload of the trailer would probably be better too but whatever.

I think that looks pretty cool. Love the look and design of the world.

Screened it today. Delivers pretty much what I had expected from Legion. Solid action flick that rivals the first Underworld. Not sure how this will translate to 3D as there aren't many 3D sight gags, which is a good thing considering the RE:Afterlife 3D looks horrible.

Did you like Legion? Because that was one of the worst things I've ever seen.

I hated Legion... there was so much potential to be mined, but it was reduced to a lot of preachy, talky scenes and very little action.

I watched 'Gangster No 1' again this week. Bettany is really good in it.

Shame Bettany is going this route with 'Legion' and crap like this one. I guess he needs money so he's going with paychecks.

Bettany is fine in this flick. The genre and character aren't necessarily new, but he has a better presence than Legion. After this screening, I felt I wouldn't mind seeing him in a sequel. Like I said previously, to me it felt a lot better than Underworld or Resident Evil. And it was a different take on the vampire myths (unfortunately, it seemed like Aliens at times with the little explanation there was and the reveal.)

I had never read the graphic novels, so I wasn't sure of what to expect other than him being a vampire hunter. The futuristic, steam punk, western world was fine. Just needed more backstory on the priests.

It's a rental. But definately a first day out in blu-ray rental.

Cool to see Karl Urban in it.

It actually looks awesome...in a Judge Dredd remake sort-of-way.

The film looks like to be Urban's next interesting character role since Star Trek. I really hope directors use him as a character actor now, since he's boring and not interesting when he just plays it straight (lord of the rings, pathfinder, chronicles of riddick).

This is getting funny that Bettany is now typecast as a violent religious man.

Damn, Paul Bettany in a movie called Priest, he could have played Rob Halford in a Judas Priest biopic. I think Priest's catalog is on Sony's label as it is. Come on, people!

Ha! I was being serious - i loved Stallone's Judge Dredd (coming out on German bluray soon!)

I'm telling ya, have him bulk up a little, slap on some studded leather...Bettany would sell it as Halford.

Unfortunately, he's not used in this enough and is really only seen towards the end of the film.

I saw the 3-D trailer this past weekend. Surprisingly, the conversion looked fairly decent.

Looks surprisingly watchable.

But what is up with Paul Bettany and these Bible Noir flicks?
