I saw this recently with high hopes but it just never seems to go anywhere. It's pretty drawn out and I was waiting for it to be over. Yes it gets the point across about how low down the drug addicts in the film are but plot wise it's just very boring and not much happens besides the same repetitious- caught, go to jail, released from jail, repeat. Does anyone else feel this way about this movie?

It's been decades since I've seen it. I'd actually forgooten this movie existed until Schatzberg was on the Cannes jury a few years ago. I'll put it on my Netflix queue and let you know what I think.
