Ok does anyone else have this problem or know of a secret way to remove the shrink wrap from the spines of DVD cases. Many times I buy a DVD and when I remove the shrink it leaves some on the spine of the case and I can't get it off. Don't know why but it bugs the hell out of me! HELP!

Apparently no one has a solution. I hate that too.

Try scotch tape, stick it over the plastic and pull really fast, it works for sticker residue maybe it will work on the shrink warp.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I just pull as much off with my fingers as I can.

Me too.....I just pull off as much as I can with my fingers. I think someone said try Goo Gone and itwill get all of it off.

i think heating the leftover shrink minimizes this problem. as in, use a hair dryer.

First, I pull off as much as I can. Then, I use a pair of pliers and try to pull off any shrink that I can. Next, I get a sharp (but not TOO sharp) knife and VERY gently try to work it underneath the shrink. If I get any shrink up, I pull it off with my fingers. I hate when this happens.

I thought I was the only one to go to those lengths to remove shrink wrap.

But what I've never understood is why the pressing plants seal these up on the spine, when it's just as easy to do it on the side that opens.
