I seem to remember reading about an unused opening for The Graduate where Ben (valedictorian) is trying to give his speech and rhetorically asks a question, but then his notes are blown away and he ad-libs "I don't know" to great applause.

This is the opening of Reality Bites (only with Winona Ryder). Anyone have any insight into this?
