It's made by Asylum, so what did you expect?

That was brilliant! At first I thought it was the real thing and wondered how Asylum got Bill Paxton to reprise his role, but then, seeing all the clips of Sam Elliott, Jennifer Connelly and John Cusack from other movies, I got the joke. I just couldn't recognize the Di Caprio clips. I don't think I've seen him in anything that wasn't directed by Cameron or Scorsese. What movies were those other Di Caprio clips from?

I recognized The Basketball Diaries and Catch Me If You Can.

I got glmpes of The Beach, Demolition Man, Austin Powers; Internaitonal Man of Mystery, and even visual effects/CGI trickery to create a wanted poster and blend DiCaprio with other films.

I saw Forever Young in there.

With so many people on board the Titanic, you'd think they could have focused another movie based on a different set of characters and their stories while original Jack and Rose runs concurrently. There should be enough stock footage and original material to use to make it a cheap DTV POS. But I think it's too little too late for Fox to cash in on that money cow.

The part with him with the gun was from Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet.

Titanic 2: The Sunkquel

Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn already pitched James Cameron on a Titanic sequel.

One can only hope this movie leads up to the inevitable, Titanic vs Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus! That movie will make TRIPLE of what Avatar has made worldwide

Titanic II - The Maiden Voyage
Synopsis: a new Titanic ship, made exactly like the one that sank, makes the same trek the original ship took, sailing from Southampton on April 10th, 2012. By the time they reach the spot where the original ship struck an iceberg, at 11:40 p.m., a computer malfunction causes the ship to start sinking! I believe the King of England is on board, and other prominent people. You see, baddies planted a bug in the massive computer system, and sabotaged the voyage.

...oh wait, I can't use that! Somebody already put out a book with the very same synopsis! Called The Maiden Voyage. So yes, someday, there may very well be a new Titanic II film, not just a joke, but for reeeeaaaallllllllll.........

Well, of course, The Asylum doesn't think their Titanic 2 film in question is a joke either, but I digress...

There is also the book Starship Titanic, by Terry Jones, a spin-off from Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker series. There was an accompanying CD-ROM game (or was the book accompanying the game? I guess the game was the primary idea), but I only read the book, which is very funny.
