DVD Talk review of 'Doctor Who: The Complete Specials'
I read David Cornelius's DVD review of Doctor Who: The Complete Specials at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=41468 and...
In your review of the DVD release, you mentioned the accompanying Confidential for each of the specials are the original full-length episodes. There's a disclaimer on the back of the BD release indicating that: "For contractual reasons certain edits have been made to The Next Doctor Confidential." (There is no such disclaimer on the DVD release.) I haven't seen anyone comment on this.
Can anyone confirm that they have indeed made certain edits to this Confidential? Thanks.

I didn't notice any obvious cuts on the SD set - not to say they're not there, just that I didn't spot them. Anyone have the running time of the "Confidential" as it appears on Blu-ray?

This has been done for all of the season sets thus far. When the specials air on BBC they contain a lot of licensed music cues and clips from classic Who. These are all excised from the DVDs/BDs. This typically cuts the running length from about 30 minutes to 15 minutes.

The original Confidential for The Next Doctor includes lots of clips from various BBC Christmas episodes. Some of them have been left out, I think the Spike Milligan/Dalek sketch is missing.
