what does OWL JOLSON say to his father immediately after being hatched?

Sounds like, "hey Stronce!" Sounds like a bad word used on Sopranos.

I'm guessing it's some kind of German-languange word for "Father."

I don't think it's supposed to be German. I think it's supposed to be an impression, of sorts, of Al Jolson, in the same way others have done impressions of him doing the whole "Mammy!" thing.
