DVD Talk review of 'Superman/Batman: Public Enemies' (Blu-ray)
I read Adam Tyner's DVD review of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=38485 and...I liked your review, but you got a rise out of me in the last paragraph. I mean, I know it's your opinion, but to dismiss Doomsday and Gotham Knight, which were both better in substance and story than P.E, especially GK- which is a visual-fucking-masterpiece a-la Animatrix, while PRAISING First Flight (which was lacking in both story & substance- though, not perhaps, visually) is disrespectful to the fans of those movies. It is a little bit presumptuous of you thinking your opinion is held much higher than everyone else's.
BTW, concerning my 'taste' in these DC:U movies, practically everyone hold the same opinion as me. Please show respect.

At the same time, though, my reviews are meant to reflect my opinion, and whose opinion is more widely held really doesn't have any bearing. My opinion's just a point on a graph...there's no right or wrong.
I don't think my wording was the least bit disrespectful, personally.

(I agree that saying "anyone who likes GK is an idiot" is disrespectful but Adam didn't say that.)
I don't like peas. Is that disrespectful of someone who does like them? Would someone be offended if I said "I find fishing really boring" or "Harlan Ellison is a better writer than Dan Brown"? So why do people get so riled when you have a different point of view on movies?

Oh, John! Didn't your mother teach you that if you can't say something nice, you shouldn't say anything at all?

Especially when "practically everyone" has the opposite opinion of you!
From this point on, I expect only to see positive reviews of movies at DVDTalk. The objectivity of the reviewers here disgusts me!
