A list of Racist & Politically Incorrect Movies

Let's face it, movies have changed over the years and there are pictures and jokes you can't make these days. I'm looking to compile a list of films that are not politically correct and probably would not be able to be made today. There is another thread that deals with movie posters, but I want this thread to stand on its own. I will add people's entries to this list.

Black Devil Doll (submitted by mrsnickers)
Blacula (submitted by dx23)
Blazing Saddles (submitted by devilshalo)
Boss ****** (submitted by mrsnickers)
Farewell Uncle Tom (submitted by Giles)
Fight for your Life (submitted by visitor Q)
Legend of ****** Charlie
Mandingo (submitted by dx23)
My Baby is Black
Song of the South (submitted by DeputyDave)
The Birth of a Nation (submitted by Mondo Kane)
Thing with 2 Heads (submitted by mrsnickers)
Tod Browning's Freaks (submitted by emachines12)
Vixen (submitted by Brian T.)
Zio Tom (submitted by Giles)

Duck Soup has a joke about "darkies" that I don't get, and have never seen an explanation for.

It is a reference to a song.

I've seen all 3 of these and they're not deliberately racist like pre-1940's movies. The "Boss/Charlie" movies are just modest blaxploitation movies with a western setting. (Although I should point out that the "N" word is used in these movies an awful lot) and "My Baby is Black" is a french film where the subject matter is treated with respect. The distributed title just makes you think otherwise.

Not Without My Daughter (with Sally Field) demonized Middle Easterners for the most part, i thought.

ridiculously enough, i saw it on the Fox Channel.

I know that, but it's certainly not a PC film that would be made today despite its good intentions.

Re: A list of Racist & Politically Incorrect Movies

I wonder: when's the last time a "good" white character used the n-word in a film? Nowadays, if a white character says that it's a lazy way to show the audience that he or she is eeeeeeeeeeeeevil.

Note: I'm not counting characters that later reformed, like in American History X.

While that may be true, I know many people that find it particularly offensive. And no, I doubt it could be made today without some kind of uproar over the use of the N word.

Re: A list of Racist & Politically Incorrect Movies

There isn't a chance in hell of Blazing Saddles being made today. None.

Which is too bad, as it is one of the funniest movies ever made.
