Favorite Movie of Summer 2009
i think i am seeing "Inglourious Basterds" today so i am going to reserve judgment, but so far in sheer entertainment value nothing has exceeded "Star Trek". favorite of the summer and probably year thus far.

Just for pure entertainment value and looking forward to revisiting on DVD:
Star Trek
The Hangover
The Ugly Truth----One of the very few who actually loved this movie and thought it was fricking hysterical.
The were a few that I liked, but wouldn't call them the best of Summer 2009.

District 9 was solid but even with the annoying talking dogs, I have to give the edge to Up.
I still haven't seen Inglorious Basterds but for me, Tarantino hasn't done anything I've enjoyed since Pulp Fiction.

i just saw Inglourious Basterds and that just nudges Star Trek for the top spot right now, though i do think ST has more replayability. i think i am going to see District 9 early next week so i will wait to vote then. but, wow! did i love IB!

Re: Favorite Movie of Summer 2009
All I can say is anyone voting who hasn't seen INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS needs to get their ass to a theatre this weekend... honestly. And Corvin, I took a friend who HATES Tarantino (and only moderately tolerates Pulp Fiction) and they thought it was fantastic.
