can't remember such a satisfying streak of movies, in only the last four or five weeks i've seen hurt locker, ponyo, district 9, basterds... extremely rich movies which I'll probably still be interested in five years... then there were a few not as good but still very interesting/worthwhile flicks as well, like moon, 5000 days of summer, funny people..for the first time in a while I am thrilled with movies, two thumbs up!

Have to agree with Blu Man. Drop Ponyo and add Moon to your first list and you are spot on.

Agreed. These last few weeks have provided some great films, some of the bestof which aren't even traditional "summer" films, such as Moon and District 9. I can't wait to see Basterds this weekend.
