Have you ever started talking like a movie character?

Doesn't really have to be movie, could be a TV character. But have you ever come out of a showing and started talking like a character but not really quoting just certain lines.
The whole thing!

For me it was Swingers. Not really one character, more like all of them. My brothers name is Toby so I started calling him "T" (like Trent) I started saying "Money" and "it's dead in here anyway".

How about you?

I would say over half my vocabulary comes from movies/tv. Swingers, The Big Hit, Office Space. Too many to name

To answer your question no.

Sorry not trying to put you down or anything but I find people that talk like a movie character or spout sayings or lines all the time are really annoying. One should develop their own personality and not borrow one from a movie. Just my thoughts.

Sometimes we get on a Karl Childers (Slingblade) kick. A couple of friends of mine can do the voice really well and it can be hilarious at times.

I quote Lebowski almost daily. Also went through a period recently where I had penchant for talking like Josh Brolin in Planet Terror and No Country for Old Men at work.

If I ever say "pussy galore" with that Connery accent, I'll probably do it again a few times during that day.

People say I talk like Gabby from 'Blazing Saddles', but it's really just a speech impediment. Jerks.

Me too! That's what I came in here to post. That's the best character to talk like.

Re: Have you ever started talking like a movie character?

My high school best friend and I ended up talking like Bill & Ted after we saw it in the theater. Unfortunately for those around us, I think it took us a long while to get out of doing that.

My wife and I immediately noticed our natural mild Southern accents were quite pronounced for a few hours after seeing Talladega Nights in the theater.

Talking like the character? No, but I do pull quotes constantly with my friends.

I don't talk like a character, but my friends and I pull quotes far too often for our own good. Sometimes I don't have an original thought in my mind. Casino is probably my biggest offender.

I had a friend that talked like Swingers. We didn't hang out with him until he stopped.

That's fucking interesting man, that's fucking interesting.

Most of the Lebowski characters, Karl Childers, Sean Connery and Vultan of the Hawkmen.
