DVD Talk review of 'The Towering Inferno' (Blu-ray)

I read Stuart Galbraith IV's DVD review of The Towering Inferno at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=38062 and...Although the film was a Christmas 1974 release, I have vivid memories of seeing it at a drive-in during the summer of '75, on a double bill with 11 Harrowhouse. It's amazing how much narrower the theatrical release window for movies has become in the home video era. In the old days they played as long as people were willing to pay to see them.

One goofy thing always strikes me whenever I re-watch this one: after rappelling down an elevator shaft, dangling from a helicopter, being blown up and then nearly drowned, McQueen's tie clasp is still firmly in place at the end of the movie.
