Rate the talent of: The wives of James Cameron
Yeah I'm going for tackiest thread of the year.
4 of 5 of James Camerons wives are famous in some capacity, how would you rate them in terms of talent in the film industry and well, any other factor you deem fitting?
Wife #1: Sharon Williams (No image available, no filmography)
Married: 1978 - 1984
Netted in the Divorce: $1200
Wife #2: Gale Anne Hurd
Married: 1985 - 1989
Writer: The Terminator, Terminator 3, Terminator: TSCCC
Producer: Terminator 2, Armageddon, Hulk, Punisher: Warzone, etc;

Wife #3: Kathryn Bigelow
Married: 1989 - 1991
Director: The Loveless, Near Dark, Blue Steel, Point Break, Strange Days, The Weight of Water, K-19: The Widowmaker, The Hurt Locker

Wife #4: Linda Hamilton
Married: 1997 – 1999 (half that Titanic fortune, damn.)
Actress: Terminator, Terminator 2, Children of the Corn, Beauty and the Beast "TV", lot of other smaller stuff

Wife #5: Suzy Amis

Actress: Blown Away, Nadja, Usual Suspects, Titanic
(all the way to the right)

I hear he's a bit of a hot tempered asshole, but considering the movies he has made, he was probably right in a lot of the arguments.

James Cameron = Uncompromising Asshole = Great Director = Divorced 5 Times = Classic Movies like Terminator, T2, The Abyss, Aliens, and Titanic.
What makes him a great director is probably the reason he can't keep any of his wives.

Has to be either Gale Anne Hurd or Kathryn Bigelow, though it seems that most of Hurd's success is riding Cameron's coat tails so I'd give it to Kathryn Bigelow.
Good point Rich, I blame Amis for the fact that we haven't gotten anything worthwhile from Cameron since Titanic!

I can assure you Linda did not get half of the Titanic fortune.
Most talented? Bigelow. She made Near Dark.

Except that Cameron's best films are the ones Hurd was involved with -- without her, he's been crap. Plus, she produced Tremors.

Bigelow by a long shot. Hurd is a good producer, but she often picks terrible material to put on the screen (Punisher: War Zone, anyone?).

It looks like Michael Jackson on that Aliens poster, which makes the caption fit perfectly.

Helen Morris (22 July 1999 - present) 1 child
Barbara De Fina (8 February 1985 - 1991) (divorced)
Isabella Rossellini (29 September 1979 - November 1982) (divorced)
Julia Cameron (30 December 1975 - 1977) (divorced) 1 child
Laraine Marie Brennan (15 May 1965 - ?) (divorced) 1 child
Stanley Kubrick
Christiane Kubrick (14 April 1958 - 7 March 1999) (his death) 3 children
Ruth Sobotka (15 January 1955 - 1957) (divorced)
Toba Kubrick (28 May 1948 - 1951) (divorced)
Harlan Ellison
He married Charlotte Stein in 1956 but was divorced.
Ellison married Billie Joyce Sanderss, his second wife, in 1961 but was divorced.
Also in 1965, he married his third wife, Lory Patrick, but they later divorced.
In 1976 Ellison married his fourth wife, Lori Horowitz. They later divorced.
On Sept 7, 1986, Ellison married Susan Toth (his fifth wife) whom he had met in Scotland the year before.
Granted Ellison is not a director, but he's just as talented as the two above, and he has a huge asshole reputation.
