I only picked two: Quick Change and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In March I got to see Turtles in a theater again and was very impressed by how well it's held up over the years. Obviously, the Turtles themselves and Splinter aren't as convincing as they would be with today's technology, but they're still serviceable and the storyline is surprisingly coherent.

Of the others, I've seen Mallrats and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but not their opponents and I'm not enough of a fan of either to vote regardless of this fact. I leave those matches in the hands of more dedicated fans.

Of the 18 movies in these matchups, I've only seen four. And of those four, I only liked one (BEAUTY AND THE BEAST). So I only voted once in this round. Let me know when we get to GOODFELLAS and BRAVEHEART vs. PRINCESS MONONOKE and THE MATRIX.

Well the opening rounds are always like this. The "big" guns will be opening up when we get to the round of 128. So we have to get through three more of these and then we get Goodfellas in the very first group of the next round.

The bigger joke is TMNT beating out Buffalo '66, and I'm glad to have contributed to that.

I've seen both, more than once. And Beauty and the Beast is the better film.
