Black Sabbath Remasters- July 14th
I saw these three cd's ( Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Masters of Reality ) all being remastered on 2 and 3 disc sets with extra unreleased songs. The word is that the remastered cd's are great but the extras aren't. I would try these out in a heartbeat but they carry a hefty price $37 each on Amazon. So it'll be a while until I can try these out.
Too bad, I'd like to give them a try but i'll have to wait for a price drop. I already have these, of course, but they're the original American versions which sound horrible except for one which the only version I like is Black Sabbath, the other two that I have could use an upgrade, but not at $37 each.

I would still buy them, just for the remastered cd's and just never play the extras. But not at $37 each.
Masters of Reality was made so poorly on cd that I can't play it, and haven't for years. Same with Paranoid.

The only bonus track is "Evil Woman" which hasn't been released in the US. It's tacked on the end of Black Sabbath. I'm assuming that this is the box set that Suprmallet is referring to. And the remasters in this box sound amazing.

This is the box set of all the Ozzy Sabbath studio albums: http://www.amazon.com/Black-Box-Comp...7342330&sr=8-1
And this is the box set of all the Ronnie James Dio Sabbath albums, including Live Evil: http://www.amazon.com/Rules-Hell-Bla...7342330&sr=8-2
The remastering on both are excellent. I would not pay $37 for any individual Black Sabbath album, even if the bonus tracks were good.

Wow, that's crazy. I don't think my brother paid that much for Sabbath: the Ozzy Years when he got it for me (of course, that's going for 80 on the secondary marketplace now.)
They look like imports so I guess that's part of the cost. I can deal with my current de-mastered versions.

How about a version of their first LP with songs like "when I came down"? I know there's a few others as well.
what exactly are the bonus songs, anyone have a list?

Well, I'm being sold on The Black Box. All the remastered Sabbath titles w/ Ozzy which I hear are remastered great. When I get this I will ditch all of my current Sabbath cd's which are produced sub-par.
